The City of Centennial launched Go Centennial in mid-August and is already enhancing this pilot program with Go Centennial Access. The Centennial City Council is showing their commitment to enhancing fiber optic opportunities by dedicating $5.7 million to implement its Fiber Master Plan throughout the City. Earlier this year, the City of Centennial contracted with the National Research Center to do a citizen survey. This year a total of 1,850 surveys were mailed at random and geographically dispersed to Centennial citizens. A total of 484 surveys were returned, for a response rate of 27 percent and only a 4% margin of error. Centennial has been named the ninth best city in the nation for first-time homebuyers, according to a recent study by WalletHub. WalletHub’s analysts compared 300 cities of varying sizes across 19 key metrics, from housing affordability to real estate taxes to property crime rates. Centennial was No. 9 overall for first-time homebuyers and No. 6 among small cities in the same category.
