The City of Minneapolis is remembering its 41st mayor, Al Hofstede, who passed away Saturday, Sept. 3 at the age of 75. Hofstede served two mayoral terms in the 1970s. He was 34 when first elected in 1974, making him Minneapolis’ youngest mayor.
