The San Diego County Juvenile Justice Commission is a state-mandated, court-appointed authority. Its purpose is to inquire into the administration of California's Juvenile Court Law in San Diego County. The Commission carries out its mandate by inspecting juvenile detention facilities, holding public and closed hearings, and making recommendations to ensure compliance with the Juvenile Court Law and related regulations. The Commission is dedicated to promoting a fair, consistent, and effective juvenile justice system for the youth of San Diego County.
