Littleton, Massachusetts (population 9,300), is located 26 miles northwest of Boston. The town's location along Interstate 495 at Route 2-- with its easy access to the Massachusetts Turnpike, the Route 128 high-tech corridor, and downtown Boston-- has made it attractive to commercial businesses. IBM's MassLab software campus-- its largest such facility in North America-- opened in Littleton in June 2010, with 2,200 employees occupying 490,000 square feet of office space in Littleton's Village Common zoning district.
