Councils are increasingly making use of behavioural insight tools and techniques to encourage individuals to make small changes in behaviour for the betterment of society as a whole and to reduce demand on local public services. Falling resources and increasing demand means that council resources are under more pressure than ever; this can act as a barrier to the take up of innovative ideas.
