Deloitte said today that it has acquired almost all of the assets of Sentek Consulting, Inc., a San Diego-based systems engineering and cybersecurity company that mainly serves the United States Navy.

"The acquisition of Sentek Global's business will strengthen Deloitte's existing presence in San Diego while also expanding our current mission-focused systems engineering capabilities and cyber offerings to other military branches and federal agencies," said Mike Canning, US Government & Public Services Industry leader and principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP.

Deloitte's Defense, Security, and Justice sector head and principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP, Heather Reilly, said, "Deloitte is committed to providing mission-relevant, complex, and technology-enabled engineering, analytics, and transformation solutions to our Department of Defense customers (DoD). Sentek Global's skills complement our complement of experienced system engineering and cybersecurity experts, enhancing DoD's ability to accelerate engineering and acquisition procedures to guarantee effective and reliable systems for our warfighters. It also allows us to welcome Sentek Global professionals who have previously served in the armed forces into our veteran workforce."

Mark Nace, principal of Deloitte & Touche LLP and Government & Public Services leader for the Cyber & Strategic Risk practice at Deloitte Risk & Financial Advisory, stated, "As cyber threats to all organizations, particularly U.S. federal agencies, increase and become more complex, we are investing to assist our clients in preventing, detecting, and minimizing those emerging threats. We can now do so due to the inclusion of Sentek Global's capabilities."

Sentek Global provides program management and integrated logistics services in addition to systems engineering and cybersecurity to the Defense, Security, and Justice sectors.

Sentek Global's CEO and founder, Eric Basu, said, "Sentek Global and Deloitte share many values, not the least of which is the provision of high-quality services and solutions to government agencies. We are partnering with Deloitte to assist our government clients in addressing complex systems engineering and cybersecurity issues, as well as to accelerate the scaling of our services for defense, security, and justice sector organizations."
