Forward Networks Collaborates with Carahsoft to Provide Enterprise Network Verification, Visualization, and Cyber Security Tools to Federal Government

Forward Networks, the industry leader in network assurance and intent-based verification, reported today that it has been named a manufacturer on the U.S. Army Computer Hardware Enterprise Software and Solutions contract (ITES-SW2) (CHESS). Carahsoft Technology Corp., The Trusted Government IT Solutions Provider®, holds this contract, which is valid until August 30, 2025.

The ITES-SW2 contract vehicle is a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract vehicle for commercial off-the-shelf software devices, as well as associated services and hardware. There are no costs associated with the deal, and ordering is available to all Army, DoD, and Federal departments, as well as approved systems integrators, on a global scale. Under this contract, Carahsoft provides Forward Networks of software, software maintenance, and ancillary services to support the enterprise software needs of federal agencies.

By providing an always accurate digital twin of the network, the Forward Networks platform assists Army, DoD, and Federal Government customers in making their networks more predictable, agile, and safe. The Forward Networks platform is based on a mathematical model that can map any possible traffic route in the network, provide a complete device index with configuration and state details, and predict how improvements will affect the network before they are pushed live, based on years of Ph.D. and business research. Customers who use the platform report saving hundreds of hours per week on troubleshooting, reducing network outages significantly, and saving millions of dollars every year.

The Forward Networks platform provides comprehensive visibility, that security teams appreciate. The verification feature includes an ongoing audit to ensure that the network is following security policies. When an incident occurs, the platform's diff application enables security analysts to determine when the network was compromised, what change caused the incident, and locate all affected hosts. The Forward Networks platform is available as an on-premises solution or as a SaaS solution.
