EMERGING TECHNOLOGY, CYBERSECURITY
Menlo Security | February 06, 2023
Menlo Security, a well-known cloud security provider, has recently announced that its cloud-native Menlo Security platform has acquired an Authorization to operate (ATO) under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) at the moderate level.
This Authorization is for the usage of cloud-based internet isolation (CBII) and remote browser isolation (RBI) technologies, protecting data and humans from zero-day attacks, spyware, malware, and ransomware. With the support of the Isolation CoreTM, it will stop threats before they happen. In addition, it centralizes interfaces, removing the need for other technologies, extends integration with different interfaces, and prevents HEAT attacks.
Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer of Menlo Security, Poornima DeBolle, said, "Achieving FedRAMP Authorization for the Menlo Cloud Security Platform is a true testament to the value of our Isolation Core architecture. Our ability to protect the users from sophisticated attacks while maintaining a consistent user experience will enable the government agencies to focus on their mission." She added, "Highly Evasive Adaptive Threats (HEAT) are challenging legacy security stacks with new techniques to deliver malware to the user. Our Zero Trust approach, powered by our innovative Isolation Core, has been proven by CBII in the DoD with millions of users for more than two years. We look forward to bringing the same protection to all government agencies with our FedRAMP Authorization."

Applexus, a technology-based company for business consultation and SAP services, has recently announced that it has secured an Investment and Growth Fund IGF grant from the Government of Alberta, establishing its business in Canada. Invest Alberta supported it, and Calgary Economic Development made key introductions for funding application processes.
This investment and expansion will help it to develop new technology solutions, hire and reach with better services. Calgary's graduates will be its team for a skilled workforce with exceptional infrastructure. Being a consulting firm, it spends a lot of money and time traveling to the client sites, so Calgary, an air travel hub, will offer convenient access to its clients from the US market.
Calgary is an affordable settlement place with a strong public education system, a high standard of living with diversity, importance to the quality of life, and being friendly with other communities. It will gain skilled professionals from other places than North America through Alberta's new immigration program for technology professionals.
CEO and Founder of Applexus, Sam Mathew, said, "The IGF grant will allow us to take our company to the next level, help strengthen our presence, expand our offerings, bring new jobs to the region, and positively impact the community. We're grateful for the support of the Government of Alberta as we work to build a stronger and more diverse economy for the state."

The support the company received from the Government of Alberta, Invest Alberta, and Calgary Economic Development positioned our province as a destination of choice and is a tangible example of Alberta's world-renowned 'make it happen attitude' when it comes to global investment."
