U.S. 10-Year Government Bond Yield Falls Back After Hitting One-Month High

U.S. government bonds strengthened Thursday as buyers stepped in after the yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note hit a nearly one-month high.In late afternoon trading, the 10-year yield was 1.563%, compared with 1.582% Wednesday. Yields fall as bond prices rise.
