U.S. Treasury chief says trade deal possible with U.K. in a year

Antelope Valley Press | January 26, 2020

U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin suggested Saturday that Britain and America would be able to conclude a trade deal this year, despite lingering disagreements on a digital services tax and whether to allow Chinese tech giant Huawei to build aspects of a new high-speed mobile network. Britain leaves European Union in less than a week, severing decades of friction-less trade with a market of 650 million. Replacing those trade ties with other post-Brexit pacts is considered critical for the nation’s economy and future.

Businesswire | July 17, 2023

Juvare®, the leader in situational awareness and critical incident preparedness and response technology, today announced the launch of the Juvare Unified Command Platform™ (UCP), part of its new Juvare Federal & Defense (JFD) business unit. The platform enables federal and defense agencies to improve real-time situational awareness, facilitate secure interagency collaboration, and digitize workflows as part of public sector digital modernization efforts. The FedRAMP® High authorized version of UCP is available on the FedRAMP marketplace through Juvare Federal Cloud. “UCP demonstrates our commitment to deliver modern and secure technology solutions that improve collaboration and operational efficiency while simultaneously strengthening our nation's cyber infrastructure,” said Robert (“Bob”) Watson, CEO of Juvare. “Not only does the platform meet the highest standards in information security, it does so while also delivering modern, easily adaptable, user-friendly software.” UCP delivers pre-built workflows such as case management, evacuation and communication coordination, law enforcement availability pay, paper and policy tracking, protective detail assignments, and scalable exercise simulation and facilitation that can be easily configured by each agency. This accelerates speed to value by ensuring that agency time and resources are spent meeting goals instead of solving recurring workflow problems. “UCP is much more than just a workflow and visualization application,” said Patrick Macfarlane, Chief Operating Officer of Juvare Federal & Defense. “It's a single solution that replaces manual processes with automated, secure, and scalable workflows. By collecting data from multiple sources and providing an aggregate view on a single pane of glass, UCP enables swift and informed decision-making and ensures that agencies have AI-ready data for further analysis and augmentation.” In addition to pre-built workflows, UCP incorporates a dynamic set of integrations and plug-ins designed to support data visualization, collaboration, and predictive analysis. Integrated within the UCP are powerful components such as Juvare Exchange® (JX) for robust collaboration and networking, JX Analyze for in-depth business intelligence, JX Connector for enhanced interagency data integration and aggregation, and world-class geospatial capabilities that support advanced predictive modeling for assessing the potential impacts of weather events. “UCP aligns with the specific data security requirements of the U.S. government, providing secure access between federal and defense agencies for seamless data integration, collaboration, and a shared common operating picture,” said Patrick Lane, President, Juvare Federal & Defense. “The platform embodies Juvare's unwavering resolve to innovate, ensuring the development of robust solutions that contribute to the security of our nation.” About Juvare Juvare is a worldwide leader in crisis management software. Palantir Selected by Department of Defense to Automate Spectrum Coordination Workflows

PR Newswire | August 01, 2023

Palantir Technologies Inc. (NYSE: PLTR) today announced that it was selected by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) to support coordination between federal and commercial licensees of the 3450 - 3550 MHz spectrum band. Palantir will provide its software platform to enable end-to-end automation that will enhance coordination between the Department of Defense and commercial spectrum licensees for shared use of the 3450-3550 MHz band within cooperative planning area (CPA) and periodic use area (PUA) coordination zone boundaries. As part of an ongoing interagency effort to facilitate the shared usage of critically important mid-band spectrum, Palantir's software will enable DISA's Defense Spectrum Organization (DSO) to support formal and informal coordination processes between the Department of Defense and commercial licensees. Existing and future government activities in the spectrum band are vital to protect national security and ensure military readiness. Palantir software will be used to integrate multiple existing functions and capabilities into a single infrastructure that will result in more efficient workflows, reducing the timelines for licensee coordination with DoD to establish sharing agreements and enable deployment of 5G wireless services within CPA/PUA boundaries. Palantir software will also be used to demonstrate the ability to support more advanced spectrum sharing use cases. "We are proud to partner with DISA DSO to support the complex task of sharing limited spectrum resources between federal and commercial users," said Akash Jain, President, Palantir USG. "We are excited to rapidly deploy software that will accelerate and automate coordination workflows and enable the increasingly dynamic and efficient use of spectrum." "As military and commercial use of radio-frequency spectrum continues to grow, spectrum coordination will be increasingly necessary to preserve the effectiveness of critical national security capabilities while enabling U.S. commercial leadership in 5G and other critical technology areas. Palantir looks forward to working alongside the Department of Defense to deploy innovative software solutions that support advanced spectrum sharing workflows and processes," said Miriam Marwick, SVP, Emerging Technologies, Palantir USG.
