Biden Leads Polls, Runner-Up Contested

According to polling averages calculated by Real Clear Politics, former Vice President Joe Biden is still the poll leader of Democratic candidates for the 2020 presidential election, if by a smaller margin. Biden's poll ratings surged after his announcement at the end of April, reaching a high on May 9. Most recently, 28 percent of registered Democrats or Democratic-leaning independents said that they would vote for Biden.
