Fixing Democracy Infographic Series

FairVote's Fixing Democracy series explores the roots of the most serious problems plagueing American congressional elections and how these problems can be solved. The three infographics below address the gridlock and polarization in Congress, the bias in congressional elections that has given one party an unbreachable majority in the House of Representatives, and our fair representation voting solution.

The City of Lomita is located at the base of the Palos Verdes Peninsula approximately five miles inland from the Pacific Ocean in the County of Los Angeles. Approximately two square miles in area, the City has a population of around 20,000 residents. The majority of the parcels within the City are residential, with commercial uses concentrated on Pacific Coast Highway, Narbonne Avenue, Lomita Boulevard, and Western Avenue.
