Could US Government Innovation Challenges Fund Cyberattacks On US Industry?

Ever since I first landed in Washington three years ago and was told I was “extraordinarily overqualified” for one of the US Government’s most prestigious innovation fellowships, I’ve been fascinated with why Washington is such a polar opposite of Silicon Valley when it comes to how it approaches innovation and why it has such a history of failure when it comes to driving true innovation-driven change.Perhaps nowhere are these challenges more apparent than in the US Government’s innovation challenge programs, which are targeted funding programs focused on specific issues of great national interest.
