Clackamas County joins 10 other counties in $50 million lawsuit regarding recording fees

Late last week, a $50 million lawsuit was filed on behalf of 11 different Oregon counties, including Clackamas County, against Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems for its failure to pay recording fees. The other 10 plaintiff counties include Coos, Crook, Jackson, Josephine, Klamath, Lane, Linn, Marion, Washington, and Yamhill.
