Opposition to Proposed Canadian Nuclear Waste Facility

Congressman Dan Kildee (MI-05) and Congressman Sean Duffy (WI-07) today sent a bipartisan letter to the new Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chrystia Freeland, to express the increasing opposition in both the U.S. and Canada to Ontario Power Generation’s (OPG) plan to build a permanent nuclear waste storage site less than a mile from Lake Huron. In total, 23 Members of Congress – Democrats and Republicans – signed the letter.
