US President Donald Trump Backs US Treasury Secretary But Hits the Fed

On Tuesday, US President Donald Trump gave the floor to US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin even though the US economy has been weakening in recent months. Just in the last few weeks, the US stock market has hit a slump, worrying investors. Despite all the turbulence, President Trump states that he still has confidence in Mnuchin as his treasury secretary made a call to US legislators amidst the falling stock market. Mnuchin also met with the six largest banks in the US banking industry to try to put more liquidity into the market to keep it afloat.
