Switzerland and UK to sign pact to protect trade beyond Brexit

A major consolation prize for the UK, in its coninuing impasse over the Brexit deal, will be picked up on Monday when Britain inks a trade deal with Switzerland, which will protect UK-Swiss trade beyond the country's withdrawal from the European Union. In the overall scheme of things, it is not a big deal although imports and exports to and from Switzerland account for 32 billion pounds ($41.41 billion), however the main gain is it ihas some symbolical significance. The terms of the pact have already been agreed, all that is to occur is the signing.
