Published earlier this year, the first-of-its-kind Government Cyber Security Strategy set out a roadmap to make all public bodies across the UK “resilient to known vulnerabilities and attack methods” by the end of this decade. The long-term shift to remote and hybrid work means government agencies need to view virtual collaboration in a new light. The first step was supporting virtual connections among employees and their supervisors to keep critical government functions operating during the pandemic. Now, the next challenge is enabling cross-functional teams to seamlessly collaborate on everything from project management and project deliverables, to complex procurements and RFP review boards, to critical operational tasks that must be managed remotely across a team.

Central to today’s Modern Government is a focus on building resilience and transformation. As climate change is increasingly seen as a significant risk to the management of infrastructure and the delivery of services, it is also seen, by some, as an opportunity to invest in more sustainable assets. Leaders are starting to focus on developing strategies and prioritizing climate goals that will transform the way we live and work, honing in on emerging technologies and data-driven decisions to better navigate the approaching risks, while potentially realizing longer term benefits.

Contracting with the U.S. government can be profitable. But it can also be risky. Winning and keeping federal contracts involves strict procedures, including specific wages and fringe benefits that you must offer employees and subcontractors. Plus, if a government client changes (or cancels) your contract, it’s critical to know your rights and how to exercise them.
