Patent Quality Conference

The Duke Law Center for Innovation Policy and the Santa Clara High Tech Law Institute invite you to participate in a pair of jointly-hosted conferences on patent quality. The first conference was held on September 9, 2016, at the Locatelli Center on the campus of Santa Clara University, Santa Clara, California. The second conference will be held on December 13, 2016, from 8:30am–1pm, at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (PTO), Alexandria, Virginia. These conferences will convene academics and stakeholders to reflect as a community.

More than 400,000 employees from 82 federal agencies participated in the 2015 Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey (FEVS). The survey measured, among other things, employee engagement, or “an employee’s sense of purpose, manifest in the level of dedication, persistence, and effort that he or she puts into the work and into the overall commitment to an agency and its mission.” Here’s a look at employee engagement by generation, tenure, agency and supervisory status.
