American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture Reaches Young Learners at 'Thingamajig' Event

The American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture hosted an agricultural-based workshop for children at the 22nd annual YMCA Thingamajig Invention Convention in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Nearly 4,000 students in kindergarten through eighth grade participated in the Foundation's "edible DNA" workshop, where they learned DNA is made up of a sugar phosphate backbone and nitrogen bases.
