Centennial Joins Transportation for America’s Smart Cities Collaborative to Tackle Urban Mobility Challenges

The City of Centennial announced today it has been selected to join Transportation for America’s (T4A) new smart cities collaborative, supported by Alphabet’s Sidewalk Labs, to explore how technology can improve urban mobility. Over the coming year, Centennial will work with the collaborative’s other fifteen cities to tackle the challenges related to implementing smart city policies and projects – sharing best practices and technical assistance and piloting new programs. Centennial was selected from the nearly 60 cities that applied to be a part of the collaborative, which will hold its first meeting in Minneapolis on Nov. 9-10, 2016. “Participating with T4A is a great opportunity for Centennial. The City is looking forward to sharing and learning information on how to continue to improve transportation mobility in Centennial. Joining this group on the heels of launching the Go Centennial pilot program continues the momentum we already have in place,” says Centennial Mayor Cathy Noon. “I look forward to seeing what future partnerships and opportunities come from all of these smart cities working together.”
