City of Reno joins Hidden Heroes national campaign to support veterans

Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve has pledged to make Reno, Nevada one of the nation’s official Hidden Heroes Cities. Reno City Council will consider adoption of a Resolution to formalize Reno’s participation at its regular meeting tomorrow, September 28, 2016, which starts at 10 a.m.Spearheaded by Senator Elizabeth Dole, the national Hidden Heroes campaign launches today at 2 p.m. EST, receiving support from Actor Tom Hanks and NBC’s Tom Brokaw, as well as other members of the TODAY show. The goals of the Hidden Heroes campaign are as follows: Raise awareness of the contributions of military caregivers and the challenges they face daily.
