Executive Gardner Releases Seniors First Report and Recommendations

Frederick County Executive Jan Gardner accepted the final report of her Seniors First committee that had been charged with re-visioning and reshaping the delivery of senior services to meet the needs of a rapidly growing senior population in Frederick County. The group made more than 30 recommendations in its report. Among them were ways to elevate senior issues, explore ways to collocate with partner agencies to create a “one-stop shop” of senior services and collaborate with Parks and Recreation to take the lead on exercise and recreation classes.
