Glendale hires new city administrator

For the first time in 37 years, Glendale has hired a new city administrator.The top post will now be held by Rachel Reiss, who was hired by Glendale in 2012 as human resources director and one of three assistants to the city administrator. She was promoted to deputy city administrator in May, which gave her the opportunity to shadow and learn from Richard Maslowski, who served as city administrator for nearly 37 years. Reiss also acted as interim city administrator after Maslowski retired Aug. 31.
