Loudoun Supervisors to Participate in ‘Salute to Military’ October 15

Members of the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors, including Chair Phyllis Randall and Vice Chairman Ralph Buona, are scheduled to participate in the upcoming “Loudoun Salute to Military, Veterans & Families.” The event will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, October 15, 2016, at Stone Bridge High School, 43100 Hay Road in Ashburn. The date has also been proclaimed as Military Appreciation Day in Loudoun County by the Board of Supervisors. The recognition event, organized by American Legion Post 2001 and co-sponsored by the Loudoun County Government for the third year in a row, will feature representatives of veteran service organizations. A computer will be available on site to perform immediate checks on the status of existing claims with the Veterans Administration. In addition, volunteers will be on hand to help veterans initiate new claims. The event is free and the public is encouraged to attend. More information about the “Loudoun Salute to Military, Veterans & Families” is online at ashburnlegion.org/loudoun-salute.
