MetTel Partners with Geotab to Deliver IoT Solutions for U.S. Government Vehicles

MetTel, a Gartner-perceived pioneer in advanced transformation and communications, today announced that it is joining forces with Geotab to offer government vehicles access to a suite of oversaw services that give basic knowledge to help streamline consistence and detailing, reduce complete cost of ownership and improve resident and representative safety, as well as limit greenhouse gas emissions.

Today, numerous government vehicles just approach vehicle motor diagnostics. Outdated methods of the board and documentation make inefficiencies in fuel usage, driving time and in general expenses. With grant winning telematics from Geotab coupled with MetTel's full service armada the executives entrance, government fleets can increase visibility into their vehicles to make efficiencies and help reduce in general costs.

Aleut to Help Aggregate Actionable Intelligence for Government Agencies

Aleut Information Technology, LLC (Aleut) was awarded a contract by the U.S. Air Force to provide maintenance, development, and support service for its existing Open Architecture Distributed Common Ground System (OA/DCGS) and Forward Processing Exploitation and Dissemination (FPED) platform – the United States' primary visual data aggregator for military intelligence. "We want to help analysts provide better output to their agencies, We know how critical it is that information be processed and distributed efficiently and accurately. Aleut will continue to generate software updates at a quick cadence, adding capabilities that improve the functionality of the platform, and empower operators." -Aleut Federal's Vice President of Technology Services, Geoff Vaughan. FPED is a platform which takes a broad range of data including video, geospatial intelligence, photographs, and more, collected by aircraft in the field and exploits the data using subject matter experts located across the globe. Those experts then take the imagery and identify items of interest (e.g., weapons, vehicles, and troops). The annotated files are then disseminated to subsystems operated by external government agencies such as the Army, Navy and Marine Corps, who use it to generate intelligence reports on the status of the regions. Under the newly awarded contract, Aleut will continue to support various sites within the FPED network to perform software and hardware updates and training, working with operators to learn what features and functionality options they'd like to see in future updates. Aleut uses human centered design principles to research requirements and make User Experience (UX) improvement recommendations for government approval. This contract has a potential duration of three years – including one, one-year base period and two, one-year options. Aleut will partner with the incumbent, MetroStar. Aleut is proud to retain the original subcontractors and key members of the original project team, ensuring a seamless transition. NanoGraf Wins Contract from U.S. Government to Develop First Large-Volume Advanced Silicon Anode Manufacturing Facility in the U.S.

NanoGraf, an advanced battery material company and enabler of the world’s most energy dense 18650 lithium-ion cell, today announced a contract award from the U.S. Government. The contract will fund the onshore manufacturing of high-performance silicon anode materials as the first large-volume silicon oxide manufacturing facility in the U.S. At peak production, NanoGraf will produce 35 T/Y, enough material to provide enhanced power for various battery applications. The U.S. faces unprecedented battery market demand and a highly problematic supply chain, resulting in an increased need for the onshoring of battery manufacturing facilities. In awarding NanoGraf this production contract, the U.S. Government is taking an important step towards a strong supply chain by scaling material production of the world’s most energy dense 3.8Ah 18650 cylindrical lithium-ion cell, at 800 watt-hours per liter (Wh/L), which was announced in 2021. “NanoGraf’s twin mission is to continually improve battery performance and to be a great partner for our customers across sectors, including government, automotive, and consumer electronics, This contract ensures continued improvements in battery performance and a more reliable supply chain as we bring our silicon-anode technology to scale.” -Connor Hund, Chief Operating Officer. The 18-month contract complements NanoGraf’s existing domestic material production strategy and the company’s additional plans to support the electric vehicle market by 2024. NanoGraf will produce 35 tons of silicon anode material per year as the company scales to 1,000 tons per year to support the EV market. With NanoGraf’s proprietary silicon oxide material design, material prices will be on par with the cost of lower-performance graphite anodes. The contract announcement comes on the heels of NanoGraf’s setting the new industry benchmark for the most energy dense lithium-ion 18650 battery. The next-generation cell will increase the energy density of batteries by over 20%, considerably lightening the load for users. Illinois is poised to become a leader in the electric vehicle revolution, thanks to leaders in our state like NanoGraf.
