GovOS | January 14, 2022
GovOS, a leading provider of digital transformation solutions for local governments, announced today it has acquired Seliom's advanced business process automation and workflow platform in an asset purchase transaction. Seliom technology will be integrated into the suite of GovOS solutions so that local governments can use the highly customizable workflow processing functionality to enhance their digital capabilities and make life easier for employees and citizens.
Seliom technology adds to the growing GovOS digital transformation platform with its elegant and detailed workflow automation capabilities. By replacing human-based workflows and rote decision-making, the product will effectively free government staff from routine, time-consuming tasks in lieu of tackling the more complex processes and decisions that require a human touch.
"The ever-evolving landscape of local government requires the public sector to be more effective and more efficient in providing services to constituents," said Kevin Lafeber, President, GovOS. "As such, we continually evaluate opportunities that make GovOS solutions more useful for our customers. Seliom's next-gen workflow platform was an obvious product fit that will immediately benefit agencies using GovOS technology to accelerate digital transformation and effect real change in their communities."
This new workflow functionality provides GovOS solutions with integrations to most popular ERP, CRM and HR systems, making it possible to maintain data continuity without replacing entire systems. The technology also enables validation of data/actions against a third-party data source, a next level solution integration requiring much less reliance on monolithic solutions.
"We liked that Seliom was specifically engineered to streamline standardized and dispersed operations that consume time better spent elsewhere," said Chachi Camejo, Senior Vice President of Product, GovOS. "With these capabilities fully integrated, government staff can further automate processes to get more done with the same resources."
GovOS workflow technology will become an integral part of the GovOS digital transformation platform, including Business Licensing, Online Civic Services, STR (Short-Term Rentals), Tax Filing, Records, Remote Applications, and much more.
GovOS is the leading digital transformation platform for local governments. Headquartered in Austin, TX, GovOS serves government agencies of all sizes across the United States. Through its secure and integrated suite of cloud-based solutions, governments can automate and streamline operations, provide seamless access to resources and information, and deliver cutting-edge digital services to businesses, residents and agencies.

CrowdStrike, a leader in cloud-delivered protection of endpoints, cloud workloads, identity and data, announced it has been granted a Provisional Authorization to Operate (P-ATO) at Impact Level 4 (IL-4). This important authorization will enable CrowdStrike to now deploy CrowdStrike’s Falcon® cybersecurity platform to a broad range of Department of Defense (DoD) and Defense Industrial Base (DIB) customers to protect their Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
CrowdStrike received a Provisional Authorization to Operate (P-ATO) at Impact Level 4 (IL-4), which is defined by the DoD’s Cloud Security Requirements Guide (SRG). This authorization marks yet another milestone in CrowdStrike’s ongoing investment and multi-year effort to bring its modern, cybersecurity technology to the public sector – technology that is used by 65 of the Fortune 100 and 15 of the top 20 banks globally to protect against enterprise risk and stop breaches. With IL-4 P-ATO now in hand, CrowdStrike is proud to share that it has been working with DISA and our DoD sponsor towards a DoD Impact Level 5 (IL-5) P-ATO, and is committed to helping secure National Security Systems (NSS).
Adoption of superior cloud-native technologies is mission-critical for the DoD and the DIB, as all federal agencies must remain vigilant in today’s heightened threat environment. It’s crucial the government takes steps to adequately prepare for disruptive activity from our nation’s adversaries. This authorization will further CrowdStrike’s support to federal agencies in defending against modern cyber threats, and we remain committed to bolstering our engagements with the public sector. Private-public sector collaboration is critical during these unprecedented times, and cybersecurity must remain paramount for both sectors into the future.”
Shawn Henry, CrowdStrike chief security officer and president of CrowdStrike Services
CrowdStrike remains relentless in its pursuit of helping public sector customers and in recognizing the unique requirements relative to cloud engineering. Innovative cloud-native technologies – like CrowdStrike’s Falcon platform – which emphasize concepts such as holistic zero trust and endpoint detection and response (EDR) at-scale have been embraced by Federal cybersecurity leaders and give U.S. government agencies new options to embrace more transformative technologies. Today, CrowdStrike brings the powerful combination of cloud-native, AI-driven technology through the CrowdStrike Falcon® platform, real-time threat intelligence and elite threat hunting to secure some of the United States’ most critical endpoints and workloads including the DoD, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) through the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), multiple other federal civilian agencies, and the Center for Internet Security (CIS). Additionally, CrowdStrike was one of the first security Cloud Service Offerings (CSO) to achieve FedRAMP authorization and delivers comprehensive at-scale protection with reduced complexity for government end users
Recently, CrowdStrike joined forces with Cloudflare and Ping Identity to help strengthen and increase the nation's cyber readiness through the joint Critical Infrastructure Defense Project, providing no-cost cybersecurity technologies and services to particularly vulnerable industries, including water utilities, the energy sector, and healthcare. The project, in collaboration with key partners across the public sector, provides access to CrowdStrike’s best-in-class endpoint protection and intelligence services to help critical infrastructure organizations adopt a heightened cybersecurity posture and defend themselves from potential cyberattacks.
CrowdStrike is also a founding partner of CISA’s Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative (JCDC), which unifies cyber capabilities spread across federal agencies, state and local governments and the private sector, furthering cybersecurity collaboration and information sharing.
CrowdStrike, a global cybersecurity leader, has redefined modern security with one of the world’s most advanced cloud-native platforms for protecting critical areas of enterprise risk – endpoints and cloud workloads, identity and data.
Powered by the CrowdStrike Security Cloud and world-class AI, the CrowdStrike Falcon® platform leverages real-time indicators of attack, threat intelligence, evolving adversary tradecraft and enriched telemetry from across the enterprise to deliver hyper-accurate detections, automated protection and remediation, elite threat hunting and prioritized observability of vulnerabilities.

OmniSync | February 25, 2022
OmniSync Incorporated announces the successful completion of the period of performance under its second innovation contract from the US Air Force, fully meeting the objectives of both contracts.
OmniSync is a San Diego-based high-growth tech startup that uses a combination of AI/ML-powered research tools, process workflow automation, and services to help democratize access to government grant and contract funds. Its flagship product, TurboSBIR is used by hundreds of deep tech and life science startups to access Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR)/Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grants and contracts to fund their product development pipelines.
The company itself has now been awarded two innovation contracts from the US Air Force's AFWERX SBIR/STTR program – these are highly competitive awards that encourage the development of innovative dual-use technologies that while solving an important defense need, also have commercialization potential. With its previous innovation contract for matching teams and capabilities with defense needs progressing towards later Phases of development and implementation, OmniSync recently completed execution on its second contract, awarded for streamlining a crucial part of the contract creation/solicitation process itself.
"Federal grant and contract systems are largely opaque on both sides of the table – most applicants are unaware of how to position their capability to solve or contribute to a government need or focus area, while government grant makers and contract creators' awareness of market capabilities and state-of-the-art is limited by historic contractor engagements and information submitted by a biased pool of repeat applicants. OmniSync intends to make requirement-research, grant/contract solicitation, application, awarding and acquisition processes more objective, data-driven, rapid, and cost-efficient."
Dr. Rupak Doshi, CEO of OmniSync Incorporated
As a requirement of the AFWERX SBIR/STTR Phase I contracts, awardees are meant to engage in technical feasibility studies that result in securing interest from an Air Force stakeholder to serve as a potential customer for later Phases of development and implementation. OmniSync has successfully received signed interest from several distinct stakeholders for both projects that are now advancing to later Phases.
OmniSync's success in the SBIR/STTR program follows its successful fundraise from venture capital investors. The company is backed by the ex-Googler founded venture studio, Launch Factory, and premier accelerators, Capital Factory and EvoNexus. Read more about OmniSync.
