Port of San Diego CEO Randa Coniglio Named as Finalist for San Diego Magazine 2016 Woman of the Year

Randa Coniglio, Chief Executive Officer/President of the Port of San Diego, has been named a finalist for San Diego Magazine’s 2016 Woman of the Year Awards. All finalists will be featured in San Diego Magazine’s September issue, which comes out August 19, 2016. The Woman of the Year will be announced at the Celebrating Women event on September 28, 2016 at MCASD La Jolla.Coniglio was named CEO/President of the Port of San Diego on June 11, 2015, making her the first woman to hold the top position in the Port’s 53-year history. Prior to this role, Coniglio was the Executive Vice President of Operations, overseeing the Port’s portfolio of world- class commercial real estate, maritime and public uses all along the Port’s 34 miles of public trust tidelands.As a finalist for this prestigious award, Coniglio is being recognized for her successes in leading the Port’s recent accomplishments in maritime industrial and cruise business development, commercial real estate development, environmental protection of San Diego Bay, Integrated Planning for the waterfront, and financial sustainability for regional benefit. The Port of San Diego is a state-established government agency whose jurisdiction encompasses the waterfronts of five cities: San Diego, Chula Vista, National City, Coronado and Imperial Beach. The agency has an important role in providing quality of life and economic benefit for the San Diego region, and public access to San Diego Bay.
