US DoD announces adoption of AI ethical principles

The US Department of Defense (DoD) has announced the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) ethical principles. AI ethical principles will cover the five major areas of responsibility, equitability, traceability, reliability and governability. These principles will be enforced on both combat and non-combat army functions. The principles have been embraced following recommendations by the Defence Innovation Board in October last year.
