We were kind of shocked at the idea that if we were too sick to work we’d end up on the street. We’d not thought about that before - in Australia if we get sick not only is our healthcare paid for, but if we were too sick to work, the government pays us enough to live on. So income insurance or disability insurance isn’t something I’d had to think about before.
