US government is refusing to disclose climate information
For more than 20 years, through both Democratic and Republican administrations, the State Department has dutifully submitted regular progress reports to the global community under the terms of the 1992 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. As of this year, however, this vital element of a global approach to climate change has gone dark. With no explanation and no indication of a timetable for compliance, the State Department missed its Jan. 1, 2018 deadline to publish a critical quadrennial climate report, and has remained silent internationally ever since.
