SENATE PASSES BILL TO AVOID GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN, WITHOUT TRUMP'S REQUESTED FUNDING FOR BORDER WALL
The Senate last night passed a stopgap measure to keep the government funded and avoid a shutdown. The funding bill does not include President Trump's requested $5 billion for a wall at the nation's southern border. Trump has promised that the wall will be big, and that it will be beautiful. He had previously promised that Mexico would pay for the wall.
