Rent Is Becoming Unaffordable For Many U.S. Workers

The National Low Income Housing Coalition has published its latest "Out of Reach" report which shows that renting is becoming increasingly unaffordable for countless Americans. Its central statistic is the Housing Wage which is an estimate of the hourly wage a full-time worker must earn to rent a home without spending more than 30 percent of his or her income on housing costs.
