Most Searched: Before/After the 2nd Democratic Debate

The second televised Democratic debate, involving the final ten 2020 candidates that qualified to take part, took place last night in Miami. The two candidates leading in the poll, Biden and Sanders both took to the stage and it was indeed this pair that got the most attention on Google before the debate. As our infographic shows, Sanders was the most searched candidate in the majority of states. Afterwards though, the map changes significantly, with Kamala Harris, buoyed in part by her impassioned exchange with Biden on race relations, stealing the Google stage together with Pete Buttigieg.
