Serving more than 220,000 residents each year, the Allegheny County Department of Human Services (DHS) is recognized nationally for excellence in human services, including three Innovation Awards from the Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. DHS has program offices; an executive office; and three internal support offices, responsible for administration and information management services, community relations, and data analysis, research and evaluation.
