OPEN GOVERNMENT PLAN

Open government is embedded in the mission of the National Archives and Records Administration. Our work rests on the belief that citizens have the right to see, examine, and learn from the records that document the actions of their Government. Records management is the backbone of a transparent and accountable government. Over the past two years, we followed the ambitious path we set in our first Open Government Plan, implementing almost 70 tasks to improve open government. Over the next two years, we will continue to improve transparency, participation, and collaboration, while embracing innovation and developing best practices.
